FAQs

I bring a wealth of industry experience to my writing, having worked in traditional publishing and as a professional translator. I am currently trilingual and am expanding my linguistic horizons by learning Italian. My narratives are deeply informed by years of dedicated research into Criminology and the intricate socio-political structures of Italian organized crime.

At present, I am operating as a dedicated Indie Author. I view my name as my brand and my novels as bespoke products crafted with full creative control. While I am focused on my independent path for now, I remain open to future partnerships that align with my vision and brand integrity.

Absolutely. While my stories exist within a shared, interconnected universe, each novel is crafted as a complete, standalone experience. You can dive in anywhere, though reading the full collection offers a richer look at the world I’ve built.

Yes. Both standard paperbacks and specialized “discreet” editions will be available through Amazon. Please note that these physical editions are scheduled for release within five to twelve months following the digital launch.

Expansion is already underway. Spanish and Portuguese editions of Sugar for the Mobster are slated for release between late 2026 and early 2027.

There are no immediate plans for audio adaptations, but it is a medium I am keeping an eye on for the future.

As an author in my 30s, I find the most compelling, “raw” stories exist within the realm of established adulthood. I am committed to writing about characters who possess the life experience and maturity to navigate the dark, intense themes I explore. I intentionally avoid the “barely legal” trope; for me, the most authentic chemistry happens between adults who are fully formed, both mentally and physically. My stories are about grown-ups, written for grown-ups.

My work is strictly for mature audiences (21+). My books explore “Red Flag” dynamics, explicit sexual content, and morally gray themes that are not suitable for minors. I write for a discerning adult audience that understands the difference between fiction and reality, and I strongly advise that my work remains off limits to readers under 18.

My current focus is on the ‘Ndrangheta due to its fascinating complexity, though I am tempted to explore the worlds of Cosa Nostra or the Russian Bratva in future series.

I view these organizations not merely through the lens of criminality, but as dissident societies. My writing explores the parallel between organized crime and the institutionalized systems we see in global governments. I’m interested in the “moral codes” that exist outside of traditional law, where loyalty and honor often hold more weight than a country’s constitution. I don’t sugarcoat the violence; I simply examine it from the perspective of those who live by their own rules.

Beaubeau Dominic is my nom de plume. It allows me the creative freedom to explore the darkest corners of my imagination while keeping my private life just that: private.

At this stage, I do not offer signed copies. As an independent author managing every aspect of my brand, the logistics are quite demanding. I prefer to channel that energy into finishing the next book of the series for you all.

Yes, official artwork is in the works. I am currently searching for the perfect artist whose aesthetic and vision align with the atmosphere of my world.

For now, this is a “one-woman show.” I handle the writing, the translations, and the publishing logistics myself. However, as my brand grows, I look forward to collaborating with other creative professionals to expand the brand.

My journey into writing began at a crossroads. I was navigating a period of profound personal loss and a career shift that left me feeling shattered. Dark romance was the light that pulled me out of that hole.

For a long time, I hesitated to write in this genre because of the stigma attached to it by the “literary elite.” But when my path was cleared by circumstance, I decided to write out of a mix of spite, pleasure, and newfound hope. For example, Daisy and Camillo in Sugar for the Mobster embody my own experiences with grief and desperation, but they also represent the belief that there is always a path forward, even when everything seems lost.

My relationship with God is deeply personal and exists outside the walls of any institution. I believe in a merciful, attentive God, and I feel that my ability to write is a gift of that will.

While my faith is my foundation, it is not an instrument of indoctrination. My books are a sanctuary for everyone, regardless of your spiritual path. Whether you are Muslim, Buddhist, Taoist, or secular, if you value kindness over hate and empathy over judgment, I welcome you as a brother or sister in this journey. I write for those who understand that every human story is unique and deserves to be told with raw honesty.
